About Me

I have been in the kitchen from a very young age, either helping my mom mix batter for her cake business or learning my grandmother’s family recipes. Growing up in the San Francisco bay area, I had many opportunities to try foods from an array of cultures, which further sparked my interest in becoming a chef. In 2003 I graduated from the California Culinary Academy as a classically trained pastry chef.

Life created some detours, so I followed a second passion, photography. After taking some classes and a lot of practice, I joined the team at Lifetouch Studios. In 2010 I became the National Portrait Champion, one of Lifetouch Studios’ highest honors.

I still craved being in the kitchen and in 2011 I found my way into the Disneyland Resort. Working for the Walt Disney Co. has afforded me many opportunities, from being a lead candy cane maker to opening and training the new candy makers in Shanghai Disney. I have also had the opportunity to do some food photography for internal projects, combining both of my passions.
